The unique progressive coating, invented by FEINMETALL, is a core component of our Progressive Probes. Thanks to its palladium content, the surface is 3 times harder than that of Standard Probes. When combined with a steel plunger, mechanical durability is massively enhanced. Furthermore, the smooth surface provides a self-cleaning effect that counteracts contamination, thereby guaranteeing a long service life.
Due to increased spring preload, a higher force is exerted immediately upon contact with the DUT, while the nominal spring force remains unchanged. Consequently, the total load on the DUT does not change, yet contaminants are penetrated more effectively.
